Description

The combined action of Ceftazidime and Avibactam is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. Aviva Pharmatech offers highly effective and safe combination of Ceftazidime (3rd generation cephalosporin) and Avibactam (a novel non-β-lactam β-lactamase inhibitor) injection under the brand name AVIDIM. The injection is available in dry powder form for concentrate solution for the infusion. Indications

The combination of ceftazidime and avibactam is primarily used in the treatment of gram-negative bacterial infections of the Complicated intra-abdominal infections urinary tract, respiratory tract, and Complicated intra-abdominal infections.

Ceftazidime is a bactericidal agent that acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Avibactam further enhances the working of ceftazidime that works by preventing bacteria from breaking down ceftazidime. This way the combined action of ceftazidime and avibactam treats Complicated infections faster.

Dosage And Administration
